If your switchboard still has ceramic fuses, trips constantly or shows corrosion, it’s time for an upgrade. A modern RCD-protected board makes your home safer and far more reliable.
Safety first
Your switchboard is the heart of your home’s electrical system. Older boards with rewireable ceramic fuses offer no protection against electric shock — and in Whakatāne, coastal salt air corrodes old boards and connections faster. Upgrading to an RCD-protected board is one of the best safety investments you can make.
We replace the old board with a modern enclosure fitted with circuit breakers and RCDs, test every circuit, and leave it clearly labelled. Most upgrades are completed in a day with minimal disruption, and we’ll let you know in advance about the short power-off period.
A new board gives you spare capacity for the things people add later — heat pumps, EV chargers, solar. We size it with a bit of headroom so you’re ready.
